Chevy knows how to please a crowd. Way back in 2015, Chevrolet wowed fans at the SEMA show with a special ‘Redline’ kit that had fans salivating. The brand decided to respond to the enthusiasm by surprising everyone with the new Chevrolet Redline Package. This package debuted at the Chicago Auto Show when Chevrolet revealed it would be offering the upgrade on not one, not two, but nine of its most popular, new models.
The Redline Package will be generally the same on all models – a cosmetic upgrade consisting of blacked-out accents with sharply-contrasting red lines and touches, such as black wheels with red hash marks and a black nameplate with a red outline. This package will be available on – hold your breath – the Cruze LT sedan and hatchback, the Malibu LT, Camaro LT and SS (including coupe and convertible body styles), Trax LT, Equinox LT, Traverse Premier, Colorado LT, and Silverado Double Cab and Crew Cab models in the LT Z71 trim.
The Chevrolet Redline Package models will roll out gradually throughout 2017. The first wave will include the Silverado models, with the rest launching by the end of the year. Make sure to check them out at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet to see the slick new look in person and ask us any questions you have.
These St. Patrick’s Day traditions are common, but do you know where they come from? Check out common trivia about this holiday below.
The color was originally blue, not green
St. Patrick is originally associated with the color blue – so what happened? Because of Ireland’s lush vegetation and the legend of the shamrock, people slowly started associating him and his holiday with green.
The shamrock has religious significance
So, St. Paddy’s Day is green because of the shamrock, but you might be wondering what’s so special about a clover. According to legend, St. Patrick used the shamrock to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity to the Irish.
Corned beef and cabbage originated in the US
The original dish beloved by the Irish was pork and potatoes, but because Irish immigrants often lived near Jewish neighbors in the United States, they developed a taste for corned beef from Jewish deli carts – and cabbage was simply a cheap side.
Irish dancing is intense
There are several different types of Irish dance, and mastering different types allows you to earn different kinds of shoes. St. Patrick’s Day has a traditional set dance that is performed with no variations in steps.

Word on the street is that the Chevy Cruze is a big deal. But we know that the proof is in the pudding. If you’ve got the Chevy Cruze on your mind, take a look at the facts. Here are four reasons to buy a Chevy Cruze.
A good car offers balance, and the Chevy Cruze has a little bit of everything. It’s sporty and elegant, efficient and powerful. Plus, for the first time ever, the 2017 Chevy Cruze is available in a hatchback style which offers up to 47.2 cubic feet of cargo space.
Whether you’re taking it on a trip across the country, or driving it within the city limits, the Chevy Cruze will sip the gas. At an EPA-estimated 40 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg city, you’ll fill up less in this sedan.
It Offers the Latest Tech
Every 2017 Chevy Cruze is generously equipped with the standard Chevy MyLink infotainment system and a seven-inch touch to control it. With smartphone compatibility and available Wi-Fi, the Cruze keeps you connected.
When you’re inside of the comfortable cabin, you might forget just how small the Cruze is. But its size makes this car maneuverable and easy to park. Paired with the powerful turbocharged engine in the Chevy Cruze, you’re in for a zippy ride.
Why wait until Halloween or New Year’s Eve to throw your next big party? Mardi Gras is a world-wide celebration that takes place the day before Ash Wednesday. Take a cue from New Orleans, who has been celebrating this day since the 1700s, and throw a festive and traditional Mardi Gras party.
First you’ll want to set the mood. Decorate your party space as elaborately as possible with purple, green and gold streamers, feathers and balloons. Don’t forget the beads, a staple part of every Mardi Gras shindig.
Masquerade masks are also synonymous with Mardi Gras. Start the party off by having guests decorate their own party masks using paint, sequins, ribbons, and feathers. Play some traditional New Orleans jazz in the background – Dancing is encouraged!
You may have a guest who comes to your Mardi Gras party just for the food. Don’t be offended—at Mardi Gras (which translates to Fat Tuesday!) food is half of the celebration. Serve cajun favorites like beans and rice or finger-food sized po’boys. And don’t forget the King’s Cake! No Mardi Gras is complete without it, and your guests will love searching for the hidden trinket baked inside. Whoever finds it is promised good luck throughout the year, something everyone could use.
General Motors has often been the automaker leading the charge in introducing groundbreaking safety technology. For instance, GM innovated the recent Teen Driver system. It’s a brilliant bit of technology that helps parents keep track of their teen driver’s performance.
Now General Motors has done it again with the brand new Rear Seat Reminder Technology. Just as the name suggests, this technology reminds drivers to check the rear seat when the vehicle is turned off. The new gadget will be available on seventeen 2018 GM models.
The way the Rear Seat Reminder Technology works is that it keeps track of the rear door use. If either rear door has been opened or closed within ten minutes of the vehicle being turned on, then the system will sound a chime and display an alert in the driver information center when the vehicle has been turned off.
GM recently made the announcement that this technology would become widely available in 2018. That announcement came on the heels of news that a man who had abandoned his infant in the rear seat of his vehicle, which resulted in the death of the child, had been sentenced to life in prison. GM clearly aims to prevent these kinds of tragic incidents with the advent of the Rear Seat Reminder Technology.
As you probably know, making New Year’s resolutions is easy. You close your eyes and dream of a better you and it seems so real, so possible. Then comes the hard part. Here are a few tips to help you keep your New Year’s resolutions.
Find Your People
Whether it’s just a friend or a group you found on meetup.com, the support of others can make all the difference in keeping your New Year’s resolutions. For instance, if you’ve made a resolution to lose weight, find a gym buddy! It’s someone to understand your pain and share in your triumphs.
Know Your Triggers
Everyone is different, even when they are pursuing the same goals. That’s why it’s important to know triggers that are unique to you. These are environmental factors that encourage you to backslide. Say you have made a resolution to quit smoking. If drinking alcohol is a trigger, perhaps you need to lay off the booze until you’ve overcome your nicotine cravings.
Accept Your Imperfection
The fact of the matter is that you will likely trip on your way to keeping your resolutions. It gets a lot easier once you accept this fact. The danger of maintaining impossible standards is that an occasional indulgence or misstep can become an excuse to give up altogether. Stay in touch with the bigger picture.
