NAIAS Reveal Planned for 2016 Chevy Volt

It’s finally time to start looking forward to the 2015 North American International Auto Show. For those of you who have been counting down since last year’s show, well you were just ahead of the game. We can all be excited together to hear the rumors about the 2016 models. This year, the Chevrolet rumors are focusing on the Volt. After four years of lackluster sales for the Chevy Volt, Chevrolet had two options; ditch the car completely, or create a new generation model that will fix the problem spots and wow auto-enthusiasts.

Chevy has chosen to give the Volt another chance, and will be revealing the 2016 Chevy Volt at NAIAS January 17-25, 2015. The next generation Volt should be going through some serious updates, including a third seat in the back row and a smaller, more efficient gasoline engine.

“Volt is the perfect example of the ingenuity that drives everything we do at Chevrolet,” said Tim Mahoney, Global Chevrolet Chief Marketing Officer. “Volt fully delivers on the promises of Find New Roads and will continue to provide consumers with the transportation solutions they need and deserve in the future.”

While sales may have been down lately, the Volt hasn’t been a bust by any means. With 65,000 total units sold, the four-seater Volt may be one of America’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicles – Chevrolet just had higher sales expectations than that. Everyone who buys a Volt falls in love with it. Why buy it otherwise, right?

We’re hopeful, and so is Chevrolet, at a new generation will generate new interest in a stellar hybrid-electric sedan.

If you don’t want to wait for the 2016 Chevy Volt to hit the floor, come by Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet today and we’ll show the way to winning a Volt’s engine.
