Summer’s not over just yet! The Waterfront Music Fest in Mooresville promises music-lovers one last chance to enjoy some fine Carolina sunshine and live jazz, blues, and beach music, right here in our neck of the woods.

Starting Mid September

The Waterfront Music Fest is a favorite of Mooresville locals and travelers from across the region. Starting on Friday, September 15 and running all weekend until Sunday, September 17 at 8:00 pm, the Fest offers live music both onshore and onboard, with bands performing at the Landing and on the sightseeing cruises that embark each evening or afternoon.

Found At Lake Norman

Along the shores of Lake Norman, the beautiful setting of the Waterfront Music Fest in Mooresville, you will see gorgeous, historic homes, stunning natural sights, as well as lovely waterfowl. Whether you make it to the sunset cruise on Friday night or opt for the sunshiny midday trips on Saturday or Sunday, the Fest cruises are perfect for sitting back and relaxing with a drink in hand while basking in the good vibes.

In addition to the performing bands and acts, the Fest will play host to a variety of restaurants and food and beverage vendors, so come hungry.

  4. Gingerbread Lane – Local professionals and amateurs take part in the annual gingerbread house competition. See the creations in person at the Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge!
  5. Singing Christmas Tree – Voices from the Carolina Voices, Grey Seal Puppets, and Carolina Kids’ Voices Choir come together to create a memorable kid-friendly event families will enjoy.
  6. Christmas at the Library – Families can stop by to take a carriage ride and see a live nativity scene at the Billy Graham Library.
  7. Leonard Bearstein Symphony Orchestra – An animatronic performance sings holiday favorites like “The Most Wonderful Time of Year” that kids won’t soon forget!
  8. Speedway Christmas – Get behind the wheel and head through a three-and-a-half mile light display at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
  9. Train to Christmas Town – Climb aboard the holiday train with plenty of child-friendly activities, like photos with Santa Claus.
  10. Christmas Town USA – See a one-of-a-kind display that features more than 375 Christmas trees and more in McAdenville.
  11. Charlotte Christmas Village – Get the full Christmas experience with a visit to a German style pop-up Christmas village.
