2017 Corvette Grand Sport Built on Racing Legacy

She’s Going For The Sporty Look

Chevrolet introduced the all-new 2017 Corvette Grand Sport at the Geneva International Motor Show. This fantastic car is built on a long history of motorsports excellence, including the 2015 Le Mans-winning Corvette C7.R GTE Pro race car.

“Racing has been part of Corvette’s essence for more than 50 years and that track experience has helped us build better, more capable cars,” said Mark Reuss, executive vice president of Global Product Development and Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, in a statement. “The global acclaim for the seventh-generation Corvette validates that direct link and the 2017 Corvette Grand Sport takes its track-bred technology to a new, exciting threshold.”

The 2017 Corvette Grand Sport incorporates a lightweight architecture, a naturally aspirated engine, Michelin tires, and a track-hone aerodynamics package. With these features, the car is predicted to offer an estimated 1.05g in cornering capabilities, and up to 1.2g with the available Z07 package.

This phenomenal car acknowledges the historic Grand Sport legacy with heritage-inspired design cues and exclusive features. The Grand Sport line was first established in 1963, but was quickly ended after only five cars were produced.

The 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport will go on sale this summer and will be available as either a coupe or convertible. We will keep you up to date when we get them in at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in Charlotte, NC!

Spring Into These Car Cleaning Tips

March is here and spring is right around the corner, which means it is time to get rid of winter gunk and clutter and spring clean your car. Follow these simple steps and your car will be squeaky clean and sparkling like the day you bought it.

  • Clean it out. Take everything out of your car (including the trunk). If it’s not attached, take it out. Then, throw away all the trash and keep only what you actually need. Don’t put anything back in until you’ve finished the cleaning process.
  • Remove the floor mats and work from the top down. Vacuum every surface and crevice you can and don’t forget to get under the seats. If you floor mats are really bad, hose them down with a power washer and let them dry in the sun.
  • Check the upholstery. If you have any dirty spots on your seats, get some upholstery cleaner and scrub away. Do the same thing with the carpets. Make sure you let your car air out for a while with the windows open so everything can dry. It’s best to do this when you won’t have to drive for a couple of days.
  • Wash your car. Just like the interior, wash from the top down, rinsing frequently. We also recommend getting the underbody rinsed at a local car wash. Once everything is clean and dry, apply a fresh coat of wax.
  • Enjoy your work. Step back and look at your pristine, sparkling car. It may only stay like this for a few days, but try and enjoy it while it lasts.
