The 2016 Chevy Camaro is Almost Here

Any sports car enthusiast will tell you that the lighter a car is, the faster it can go, which is why we’re really excited about the new 2016 Camaro stats Chevrolet just released.

Chevrolet said it has cut out a whopping 390 pounds from the curb weight of the all-new Camaro. In addition to cutting the weight, Chevrolet also boosted the Camaro’s power.

According to Chevrolet’s testing, the new 2016 Camaro SS equipped with its 455-horsepower engine and eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission can go 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. This time, sets a new benchmark for the segment and its engine makes it the most powerful Camaro SS ever.

Even the other Camaro models with less powerful engines are still quick. The 2.0-liter Turbo with its 275-horsepower engine reached 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and the 335-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 will get you to 60 in just 5.1 seconds.

“The performance of the Camaro 2.0L Turbo will challenge many of the iconic muscle cars from the 1960s, while the Camaro SS’s performance – including 0.97 g cornering – makes it one of the most capable 2+2 coupes on the market,” said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer, in a statement. “The performance numbers only tell half of the story, because the lighter curb weight also makes the new Camaro feel more responsive and agile behind the wheel. It brakes more powerfully, dives into corners quicker, accelerates faster and is more fun to drive than ever.”

There is a downside to this story—we can’t drive it yet! But, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will be coming to Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet soon and will go on sale this fall.

Experience The Panthers Up Close & Personal

Here at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet, we love us some Carolina Panthers football. While football seems to be a love it or hate it sport, no one can deny that football brings a lot of people together and creates a sense of community.

Want to feel like you’re part of a family with 73,000 members? Just head to a game for a Panthers game day experience like never before.

Before the game even starts, head to the Panthers Lair located near the South Gate and East Gate of Bank of America Stadium. The fun starts two hours before kickoff and includes visits from the TopCats, Sir Purr, PurrCussion, and radio personalities. Kids of all ages will love the face painting, interactive games, and fun giveaway prizes. What makes the Panthers Lair so great is that it is free, so even if you don’t have tickets to the game, you can still get pumped up for some Panthers action.

Some more pre-game festivities are at Panthers in the Park, located at Romare Bearden Park in Third Ward between Church Street and Mint Street. This opens two-and-a-half hours before the game and includes fun kids’ activities and visits from the TopCats, Sir Purr, and the PurrCussion drumline.

Once you’re in the stadium, the fun continues, of course. Cheer on the team through four quarters of play, enjoy some great halftime entertainment, and so much more. If you brought your kids and they’re feeling a bit squirrely, take them to Sir Purr’s Play Den located on the 100 level by section 138. Here they can practice their football skills, suit up like the players, announce plays, and even compare their weight to the Panthers players.

With so much to do, you might be wondering, “Why haven’t I gone to a Panthers game yet?” If you go tell all of Kannapolis, NC how it was, right here!
