Chevrolet is making the effort to expand the offerings of its Sonic lineup with the addition of two new vehicles: the performance-inspired RS and the stylish Dusk. These two new trim levels expand the subcompact lineup for Chevy, while attracting young buyers who are looking for more expressive yet affordable options.
The Sonic RS sedan was engineered for those drivers who spend more time driving in a city environment. With a Ecotec 1.4-liter turbo engine, that can deliver up to 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque while pushing up to 27/34 city/highway mpg ratings, there’s a lot of power in this small car. It has dramatic exterior visual cues, such as vertical intakes at the edges of a low front fascia that boosts the RS’s road-hugging stance and rather aggressive looks.
If you’re looking for a more refined and sophisticated subcompact car, then the Sonic Dusk is for you. It comes exclusively in Ashen Grey Metallic that has a distinctive matte appearance on the upper and lower grills, door handle inserts, and rear license plate trim. In spite of a low price, it manages to feel a lot more luxurious in large part due to the stainless steel window moldings, Jet Black leather-trimmed seats with suede microfiber accents, and Mojave tan inserts.
Both the Sonic RS and Sonic Dusk will go on sale at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in spring 2014.
Chevrolet has spent a lot of time and energy to make sure that the new Silverado has a convenient and usable bed. As we all know, even the most powerful truck is only capable of so much if in fact putting cargo into the truck is an aggravation.
Thanks to the Silverado’s pick-up box, loading and unloading cargo is a breeze. “Silverado owners are the doers of the world,” said Lloyd Biermann, Silverado marketing manager. “Our goal when designing the Silverado’s pickup box was to create something that was stronger, more durable and versatile to help our owners get their toughest jobs done.”
Due to its great functionality and innovative design, the Silverado is arguably one of the most (possibly the most) trouble-free trucks to handle. LED box lights make it easier to find cargo in the box, which is perfect when the sun starts to go down and the work keeps going. There is an internal torsion bar that reduces the effort it takes to raise the tailgate and a rotary damper that makes it easier to open it gradually. Just in case you’re hauling some awkward loads (like moving your kids out), the unique steps are designed to accommodate work boots and they can be used whether the tailgate is up or down.
The handy add-ons don’t stop there. Hand grip pockets give you easier access into the box and removable upper tie-down hooks provide maximum flexibility when securing cargo of various shapes and size. The Silverado’s main point is this: there is no job too big or small for this truck.
So get ready to load up your bed and come get your 2014 Silverado today at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet.
Chevrolet has been busy lately. Reengineering and releasing the new Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500 took quite a bit of work, but once those were finished there was one more thing to do. In just a few days, Chevy will complete their truck to-do list by releasing the Chevy Colorado.
We’re just as excited as the next fan to see the big reveal at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20. Chevy has promised us that the Colorado “will reinvent what a midsize pickup should be” and that it will be designed to be the “most capable, most versatile and technologically advanced midsized truck on the market.”
Those may seem like hefty statements to some truck lovers, but any true Chevy fan knows that the automaker will make those promises come true. Consistent, high-quality work is one of the biggest markers of any one of Chevy vehicles, but it is especially true of its pick-up line.
If you want to watch the reveal in living color, you can watch the 2015 Colorado make its big entrance live on Chevrolet’s YouTube channel. Once you’ve seen the reveal, start saving so that you can add another star to your Chevy lineup once the Colorado goes into production. You can be sure that we’ll be one of the first to get it in, so be sure to call Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet when the time comes.
The eve of the SEMA Show was stock full of Chevrolet truck and SUV concepts. This array of beauty and genius was enough to knock our socks off.
Chevrolet reintroduced the Silverado Firefighter Volunteer and Black Ops concepts, along with revealing a few new faces. The most notable new faces were the performance-oriented Silverado Cheyenne, the Brad Paisley Signature Silverado, and the ultra-tough Silverado HD Dually tow vehicle.
Each concept vehicle has its own strengths and style, but Chevy’s goal was not to laud the incredible towing capacity of the Dually or the performance of the Cheyenne. Instead the focus was placed on the flexibility of the one thing they all had in common: the Chevrolet Accessories that made each concept possible.
In order to further demonstrate the depth and breadth of the Chevrolet Accessories, Chevrolet is altering the same Silverado Z71 Crew Cab every day throughout the SEMA Show. This will allow the Z71 to adopt varying appearances such as luxury, sport, work-truck, or outdoor themes. It will also give us all a chance to play show and tell with Chevy.
The personalization factor offered by Chevrolet Accessories really makes it possible for you to make the all-new Silverado truly yours. There can never be any question among your friends who is getting the better deal if you pick up a Silverado. Come in to Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet to pick out your very own pick-up.
